Samurai Billy started out as an idea for the Samurai Anthology, a collection of stories by different creators under the common theme of the Samurai.
The idea was to pass the western idea of the samurai back through the eastern idea of the rock-a-billy, and create a real mish-mash of concepts, samurai's fighting mod-ninjas.
It was always going to be a short, and we always liked the idea of ending on a cliff-hanger, leaving it to exist like some crazy cartoon series or comic book which just got cancelled after one episode, never finished, open to the readers to create their own stories.
